Character Information

Name: Tatsuya "Eno" Enomoto
Canon: K
Canon Point: Near the end of season 2
Age: 22
History:
The year is 201X and this is a Japan that won the World War. A German scientist named Adolf Weissman discovers something called the Dresden Slate and finds that it selects certain individuals and grants them special powers. These individuals are called Kings and they gather other individuals around them who are gifted with powers of their own and are considered members of the King's clan. This is the story of one such clanmate: Tatsuya Enomoto of Scepter 4, a police task force that specializes in the capture and containment of beings called Strains. These strains are creatures (both human and animal) who have supernatural abilities granted by the Slate but had failed to become kings. Examples are a human girl named Neko who can shapeshift into the form of a small cat and manipulate reality around her and a horse named Basashi who can grow wings.

As soon as Eno graduated college, he had his life figured out. He would have a nice quiet desk job in family registration and make enough money to pay for his hobbies. That is until Reisi Munakata walked into his job interview and basically went "I want him for my clan". No one protested and he was swept off into Scepter 4.

As a member of Scepter 4, he trained with the rest of the squad. We haven't been given details yet as to what happened during these first few months but we can safely assume this is where Eno began his training.

This is Eno's involvement in season 1 of the anime. At this point, he's mostly just a background character though he's shown consistently as a member of Scepter 4. It isn't until the anime ends and K's long list of extended canon is released that we are shown his actual personality.

This is the summary of season 2. Long story short, after the death of Suoh Mikoto in season 1, HOMRA gets a new King. But the green clan named decides to cause trouble by trying to get hold of the Dresden Slate which is where all Kings get their powers. Meanwhile, Kuroh and Neko finally find Shiro and he proposes to unite the silver, blue and red clans to protect the Slate and take down Jungle. They decide to destroy the Slate by triggering a Damocles Down (Where a king's Sword of Damocles falls from the sky. Usually results in a Big Kaboom.) Somewhere along the road, Reisi gets fired because Jungle has infiltrated the government and he decides to cause the DD himself. Scepter 4 doesn't fall into chaos as Jungle thought they would and instead rally to Reishi's side.

Personality:
Clearly, Tatsuya (Eno to his friends) wasn't meant for the fast paced action lifestyle that makes Scepter 4's paychecks. If it wasn't obvious from the glasses and the way he dresses and his hobbies, he's a nerd and a huge one at that. He's been referred to as an 'all purpose young otaku', after all and it shows. He enjoys comics (both Japanese and Western), watches dramas and even named his standard issue saber in the style of a video game protagonist. He's also a bit of a closet pervert, being the designated guardian of Scepter 4's porn stash (this is canon. I wish I was kidding.) and had been spotted looking at 'questionable magazines' during his off-day shopping trip. But what he really loves are computers. Old computers. Bulky computers that aren't able to run any OS past Windows XP. He even spends his free time putting computers together. He's also able to identify a computer's model just by taking one look at it and will spend a good ten minutes fanboying over it unless pulled back to reality. This fanboying does come in handy as he serves as Scepter 4's go-to guy when it comes to computer repair. He's the first one to call when a computer isn't booting properly and it's probably safe to say that he's who they call on instead of getting in touch with the resident IT department. It's also possibly what keeps him in Scepter 4 as he's usually seen alongside Fushimi, monitoring the computer systems to read power levels and maps as needed when they're out in the field. It's clear that in the squad's van, away from the action and behind the computer screen is where Eno is his most comfortable... and perhaps his most competent, too. It isn't that he can't use a sword. After all, he goes as ordered and into a fight if need be without hesitation. He's been shown being able to use one as well as any member of Scepter 4 and is able to hold his own against members of a rival clan named HOMRA. He doesn't seem to hold any anger toward HOMRA's members or its leader, despite there being obvious tension between them and Scepter 4. Even when Scepter 4 and HOMRA end up having to work together, he doesn't protest and plays nice even without being ordered to.

Along with that form of technological intellect however comes the stereotypical social awkwardness one would expect from the nerd label. He's a shy thing, the last to step up and tries not to make himself stick out of the crowd. He also serves as the voice of reason for some of the more foolhardy members of the team, the one who isn't afraid to go "Guys, this doesn't seem like such a good idea" when the situation calls for. He tends to see the worst-case-scenario in any situation and prepares himself for that instead of looking at the positive side of things. Some may call this pessimism, the more optimistic call him being cautious. He’s the sort who would rather stay back and watch instead of jumping right in without preparation. This also leads to him being observant. Enomoto is surprisingly full of tiny things he notices about his colleagues: how careless Hidaka can be, his captain's oddities, Fushimi’s personality quirks. He's the quiet sort, only speaking up when asked or to protest when the rest of his team throws him under the bus. Despite the social awkwardness, Eno doesn’t come across as antisocial, aloof or rude. (That's Fushimi's area of expertise). He gets along with everyone and also seems to carry a sense of responsibility for his peers, most specifically the rowdier members of Scepter 4. Eno appears to be a sort of "big brother" figure (or at least he tries to be) especially to Hidaka who he seems to be closest to. If Hidaka misbehaves, he considers himself responsible enough to apologize for his colleague's misbehaviour. And one can also say that it's this sort of mentality that makes it okay for him to get thrown under the bus by his team when need be. After all, every team needs someone with a level head. He can also be seen as thoughtful and resourceful, having been the mastermind behind the idea of using a spare storeroom as a lounge where the rest of his team could relax after hours.

It also isn't to say that he's content with being the target of involuntary volunteering. Eno also seems to dream of something bigger for himself, despite his lack of self-esteem. He sees himself as a lot of things: A man lacking in fashion and someone who has the potential for greatness. Quite the opposing side of the spectrum, to be sure. He believes himself needing a chance to step up and into the limelight and out of his current "lowly peon" status. He named his sword Enomoto no Tsurugi, copying the legendary swords that he sees in video games which one can assume would be his seeing himself as a hero of sorts. However, these are all things he imagines himself as rather than taking action and making them happen. Truth be told, he was content in taking a government desk job to pay for his hobbies but clearly his king, Reisi Munakata had different plans. Despite his unorthodox recruitment, Eno still respects his king as much as the rest of Scepter 4 does. Calling Munakata strange is probably the tip of the iceberg. Despite his king's whims (having them help him look for a missing puzzle piece during work hours) and oddities (showing up at the company Christmas party wearing a fake moustache-and-glasses set), this behavior never caused Eno to write off his king as incompetent. He still follows orders without questioning or second guessing them. What's more is that he seems to hold the same fascination his teammates have for their king, being one of those who actually stopped and stared to watch him eat soba in a manner one could only describe as awestruck.

Abilities:
Blue aura
Being a clansman of the blue king gives Eno the ability to wield a blue aura. As we're told, the blue clan is the clan of order. What this ability actually entails for blue clansmen hasn't exactly been explained yet. But one can only assume it has something to do with drawing their department-issue sabers.

Ability to use a sword
As a member of Scepter 4, Eno is shown to be able to use a saber. Despite the fact that it looks like a regular European saber, the squad is trained using kendo techniques and exercises.

A+ computer knowledge
From monitoring the enemy on the field to maintaining Scepter 4's in house security, Eno is the only other member of the squad who's shown to be in charge of their computer systems and is second only to Saruhiko Fushimi. Even when Fushimi isn't around, Eno manages to handle the computer systems well enough on his own. He can identify a computer's model just by looking at it and even puts harddrives together in his spare time.

Strengths: Responsible, battle capable, smart, thoughtful, observant
Weaknesses: Unassertive, low self esteem, a bit of a doormat, obssessive, has delusions of grandeur

God/Shinki: Shinki
Why?: Eno is a follower rather than a leader. His place in canon as his squad's voice of reason and 'big brother' makes me think he already has the makings of a great shinki.
Cause Of Death: After Scepter 4 rallies around Reisi in the assault against JUNGLE HQ, its members engage in battle with the rioters to clear the area. Eno engages one of the rioters and gets killed.
Vessel: An oldschool PDA, specifically a Handspring Visor Neo Blue.
Name Location: On his back, between his shoulderblades
Power: Based on his computer systems back home, Eno will be more of a navigator shinki. Kind of like Kazuma but less… powerful. His usual job was manning the computers and checking on the in-house security systems and that too is going to end up being his job as a shinki. In battle, his screen serves as display for all the information he can provide. While his basic 'function' is the same as Kazuma's (being identifying an enemy in an area, locations of ayakashi and showing basic information on this ayakashi), he lacks what makes Kazuma so special: targeting. He's unable to spot weak points and can't pinpoint the distance between his god and his target nor can he coordiante attacks between his god's multiple shinki, if ever. But he can also do basic things PDAs can, like keep calendar events, phone numbers and names and even take down notes. Out of his PDA form, Eno can pull up said calendar appointments, phone numbers and notes if requested. In other words, he's the perfect secretary shinki.
